Transition

Reception - Year 9 Transition

Transition is an important part of a child's experience both when starting school for the first time and also whilst at school.

All areas of learning are thoroughly investigated when considering where to place children who are commencing their journey at St Francis de Sales College and also when students are transitioning between year levels. A holistic approach to the process of considering each child's spiritual, academic, social, and emotional needs as well as their friendship groups are all prioritised to establish a learning environment that is conducive to their individual needs.

At St Francis de Sales College we do our very best to ensure your child has a positive school experience and the many hours staff spend discussing class placements for each new year is testament to the dedication of staff towards the care of each and every student.

Year 10 - 12 Transition

Transition is an important part of a child's experience especially when starting school for the first time however, transitions continue to occur throughout a child's schooling. At St Francis de Sales College, we implement a holistic approach to ensure that each child's spiritual, academic, social and emotional needs are considered in establishing a learning environment that is conducive to their individual needs. Within the Senior School, we do our very best to ensure your child has a positive school experience, especially as they enter their final years of school and again when they transition to tertiary education, apprenticeships or the workforce.  We give students the opportunity to foster, with support, a skill set that will allow them to succeed in their SACE subjects and then in post-school pursuits.
