Josh gains apprenticeship

31.08.20

Josh, Year 12 student, has recently signed up as a school-based apprentice through Murraylands Training and Employment (MT&E) working as a diesel mechanic with Chapman Heavy Mechanical.

He was able to obtain this apprenticeship by studying a Certificate II in Automotive Servicing Technology at TAFE SA. This lead him to a work experience opportunity at Chapman Heavy Mechanical, which provided him with an opportunity to become an apprentice.

Josh will continue his SACE subjects at the College while working at Chapman Heavy Mechanical two days a week, having one day a week continuing his VET training through TAFE SA.

We would like to formally thank Nick from MT&E and Jeff from MEGT for taking the time to visit St Francis de Sales College to sign up another one of our very talented Year 12 students.

We wish Josh all the best for his future career.
