Student Exemption

If your child will be absent from school for an extended period of time, you must complete and lodge an Application for Exemption Form a minimum of two weeks in advance. Such exemptions from attendance of school are approved from the College Principal, and in some cases the Director of Catholic Education South Australia.

Form C must be completed for students who are seeking an exemption on the grounds of:

• Family Travel - Holiday of less than 12 months.
• Ongoing medical condition of less than 1 month.

Form A1 is to be used for:

• Family Travel - Holiday greater than 12 months.
• Overseas exchange.
• Elite sports event.

Please note a student away from school for between three to five weeks because of serious illness (e.g. Glandular Fever) does not need to submit an application for exemption as such illness fits within the definition of prescribed reasons for non-attendance at school.
