Parish Community

The College has a valuable resource in the Parish Priest and lay ministers who serve in the Mount Barker and Strathalbyn Parish.

The Parishes allow our College to be directly involved in the sacramental life of the wider Parish family, celebrating the Eucharist and Reconciliation.  This relationship between the College and Parishes extends their important role in the pastoral care of the families of students.

Truth Justice and Healing Council

The Truth Justice and Healing Council was established by the Australian Catholic Bishops Conference to coordinate the Catholic Church’s response to the Royal Commission into Institutional Responses to Child Sexual Abuse.

This Council has been given the key responsibility by the Australian Bishops of working with Parish Priests, Church agencies and Church leaders to provide as much information as possible to the Catholic community about the Royal Commission.

As members of a Catholic community, it is important for us to be informed and develop an understanding of the Royal Commission and also to explore the ways in which we continue to work closely to keep children safe in our schools, communities and in their use of social media.
