St Francis de Sales College is committed to incorporating digital teaching to enhance student learning at all year levels.  The aim is to develop students to be multi-literate for the real world and their future.

The College provides students from Year 6 to 12 with the opportunity to bring their own laptop, tablet or iPad to use on the College computer network.

The season of Lent is a time for deep personal faith renewal and growth. It is a time to be merciful like the Father. Welcome to 2016 and to our very exciting year ahead. It has been delightful to see so many students and families excited about being part of our welcoming, hope-filled community. Already it is evident that our Heart Value of Respect is of great value in enabling us to find the good in everything we think, say and do!

The College Board met for the first time in 2016 on Tuesday, 23 February after the Christmas and New Year holidays. The Board welcomes all families back to the College and extends a very warm welcome to the new families who have joined our community. We have been very encouraged by a smooth and productive start to the new year.

It has been a successful and energetic start to the 2016 school year in the Primary School. The staff have worked very hard over the summer break to ensure that their classrooms and resources were ready to go by day one, enabling the students to come in and beginning their learning journey. Some new processes have been introduced into the Primary School this year.

It has been such a wonderful start to the year! Welcome back to all our students, staff and families, with a particular welcome to our new community members. Our ‘Dressed for Success – Ready to Learn’ campaign has been well supported and most students are wearing the uniform correctly and with pride. 

St Francis de Sales College’s newest subject Basketball Academy has begun the year in fantastic fashion. We have a Year 8/9 class and a Stage 1 class undertaking the study of basketball. Both groups have commenced the subject full of enthusiasm and a passion for learning.

We are seeking an expression of interest for families in Years 10 to 12 who would like to host an Indian student in late May to early June. Also in late July to early August we welcome back our Sonobe High School Japanese friends. This year we are expecting 10 students to visit us. Families are welcome to host a student from India or Japan or both.
